Pine Warblers are one of the first species to pass through during spring migration, and the earliest to breed. They are the only warbler species that eats large amounts of seeds. Staying true to their name, they are rarely found in deciduous vegetation outside of migration. Although Pine Warblers are common breeders on Cape Cod, this male was clearly a migrant, as it was in a mixed species flock in deciduous woods
