Description

Before dawn at Gateway National Park. The sound of the waves slowly creeping over the pebbles was pretty awesome.

This is my first critique - and I'd say it's actually pretty easy to critique a piece by you, since you're fabulous.

I LOVE this photo. The colors in this shot are amazing and I think the angle you set it at is genius. Having the light come from the side of the shot like this makes for so many more colors than had it been straight on. The light on the rocks seem to create movement in the photo, like they're glimmering- as well as the movement in the line of bubbles from the water. The fact that you set it up so the horizon is high and you can see so much of the shore as well as the sky is beautiful.

I can see that this photo took some real planning and forward-thinking. You must have been set up there for a while planning and envisioning what you wanted. This made the shot quite original -I don't see many shots of sunrises done off-center like this, and it's a beautiful idea that yielded a stunning result.

I love the darkness broken by the light in this shot- it's stunning, and can speak in many ways. Simply a gorgeous work of art.
