Fiery Phragmites

Description

While shooting a group of migratory seaducks with the sun at my back, I turned around to see how much time I had left before the sun went below the horizon, and immediately saw this. The phragmites directly underneath the sun literally looked like flames.

Beautifully shot with the talles phragmites like waves of fiery golden fronds. The red glow against their golden outline makes a startling and amazing contrast. Natures flames captured in a magic moment. The fronds almost look like they are floating, like visible forms of the suns rays warming the earth as the dark rustic red overwhelms their thin stems in the picture. This demonstrates that dawn and sunset are truly magical moments to photograph. An awesome example of what can be achieved by getting up early and staying up late. 5 stars all round for this fantastic photograph. Well done!
