Description
This was shot down in the Dell bog at Mount Auburn early in the morning. For about fifteen minutes or so the sunlight blasted through this stand of tall fur trees overlooking the bog. I had never seen anything like it before. I got onto my stomach on the ground and took my tripod as low as it could go for this angle. At least thirty mosquito bites later, I came up with this. Mount Auburn is an incredible location. It was America's first landscaped cemetery (1831), and it's loaded with uncommon species of birds, coyotes and amazing scenery like this. Later that morning I shot an owl, and a few other good species. I was the only one in the cemetery from about three hours in the morning. Tt was me, the birds, and many graves form the 1800s. Eerie, but really awesome.
