One of the easier North American warblers to identify by ear, the Black-throated Green Warbler sings persistently on its territory during breeding season. A single male was once recorded singing 466 times in a single hour! This individual bird passed through Boston during spring migration, and was part of a decent sized mixed-species flock.

Lovely shot! I wish I could get some decent warbler photos, but the areas where I go to watch them make photography rather difficult. I'm envious!

Amazing shot! You're lucky! There's a small breeding patch in Central Ohio, and while I could hear them everywhere, I couldn't see the tiny suckers at the top of 70 foot tall Hemlocks.
