The metro newspaper distributes editions in 23 countries on 4 continents across the world. Last month from the local Boston edition, I learned they were holding a photography contest. I submitted a few photos and forgot about it. This morning I found out that one of my photos is a finalist, and is in the top ten in the "places" category in the United States (out of nearly 5,000 photographs). I was shocked, I had completely forgotten about this contest, and the prizes are amazing. First place in each local category gets a Canon DSLR, and the global winners get a trip for two to anywhere the metro is distributed (23 countries). I'm still stunned about this!
